The first night of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road European leg kicked off in Vienna earlier this week and the reviews are in - spoiler alert - we're talking 5* (obviously).

The Rocketman returns to Arena Birmingham (and over at our sister venue Resorts World Arena) in 2020, but Elton has already kicked off his European leg of the tour and it's both critics and fans alike have had nothing but AMAZING things to say about the show!

Check out this lot...

Review: Elton John at the Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna
There was no attempt to push new material, just one late 20th-century standard after another with a perfect combination of sophisticated arrangements and rock’n’roll energy

'The good news is that John is going neither quietly nor gracefully. He is dragging himself into retirement raucously and defiantly. When Elton John plays a greatest hits set, they really are hits, they really are great and they stay played.'

Daily Mail
'An emotional evening, packed with heart-wrenching piano ballads and joyous rock 'n' roll songs from one of pop's greatest back catalogues... he remains an indefatigable frontman'

Daily Telegraph

'Elton John is bowing out still at the height of his powers, perhaps the greatest showman of our times.'

The Times
'(Elton) is going out with the show of his life'

'Elton John’s farewell tour hits Europe with gusto, humour — and a confession'

i Newspaper
'The European leg of Elton John's final tour opened with a wending trek through a career brimming with glitter-bomb gems'

All that's left to do is wait until 2020! Fancy joining us?
