Right you lot, it’s a new year and that means we've got a whole year of gig'ness in front of us! So get your diaries ready as we take a look at the hottest gigs of 2021!
It's easy to feel a little down in the dumps at the moment with another tough lockdown ahead of us, however, focusing on the future and the potential this year brings will definitely help us through the next few months. Once we get the green light to do so, we're going to deliver some MASSIVE live events to the city including big comedy shows, huge family night outs and an incredible array of proper, old fashion gigs!
Here's some of the bands and artists we're tipping to put on an unbelievable performance when they arrive here in Birmingham.
The band bring their Last Domino? Tour to Utilita Arena Birmingham in 2021 and will be Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford’s first live outing together since the globe-trotting, sell-out Turn It On Again: The Tour in 2007. They will be joined on stage by Nic Collins on drums, and the bands long time lead guitar and bass player Daryl Stuermer. More info can be found here.
Set to be one of the most highly anticipated tours of 2021, Stormzy has announced a huge 55-date ‘H.I.T.H. World Tour’. The touring news comes straight off the back of a phenomenal few years for the pioneering Grime artist. Grab the last few tickets now!
If you've never had the pleasure of seeing Yannis and the Foals boys live, then please, please make it your goal in 2021. The atmosphere is always electrifying, their performance is never not 100% and the energy is something else. You HAVE to be here when they return to Brum!
Despite everything crumbling around us this year, music has been a release for so many people and Dua's album has been one of the most played over the last year or so. The certfied Queen of Pop has also found ways to keep performing, whether it's online or via special award ceremony performances, Dua Lipa has well and truly smashed 2k20 - and she'll smash things again when she arrives in Birmingham! They will, they will rock you when they get the go ahead to return to the road. These Queen + Adam Lambert shows are really something special. The day after they've performed there's two instant reactions. Number 1 is "WOAH, that was the best live show I've ever seen." Elton John has announced he will add a further date to the next leg of his award-winning global Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. The addition of a third, and final, show in Birmingham will bring delight to thousands in the Midlands who missed out on tickets when they originally went on sale!
