Former GB gymnast, Alanna, who performs as the spider in Cirque Du Soleil: OVO headed down to the BBC Breakfast studios this week to give them a sneak peak into what's in store for this must see show!

Sitting on the red sofa Alanna Baker told Charlie and Louise about her first experience of seeing the fantastical Cirque Du Soleil. How at eight years old she was hooked, dreaming of becoming a circus performer herself.

Years later and only shortly after securing a bronze medal for her country she joined the cast and hasn't looked back!

Now performing as the spider in Cirque Du Soleil: OVO which comes to Arena Birmingham this October, Alanna still craves the adreneline rush, explaining how the cast and coaching team on tour continue to push the boundaries in order to put on the best possible, most mesmerising, gravity defying and awe inspiring performances for the audience.

With a 100 strong team travelling and touring together, Cirque is a true collaboration. Alanna went into detail about how closely the acrobats and live musicians work together, helping each other and adapting the performance in real time.

Tickets to this amazing show still on sale, find out more about Cirque Du Soleil: OVO today.
