Mrs Brown's Boys wins at the National Television Awards!

The National Television Awards took place last night down in London, where the best in TV celebrated the best shows and moments over the last year - and Brendan O’Carroll's Mrs Brown's Boys came up trumps!

Mrs Brown's Boys came up against some stiff competition as it went head to head with the likes of Fleabag, Sex Education, Derry Girls and Afterlife for the NTA Best Comedy...and they only went and won it!

Some fans were pleasantly surprised at the win for Mrs Brown's Boys, as Phoebe Waller-Bridge's dark comedy Fleabag and Ricky Gervais' Afterlife seemed the front runners - but the NTA's is all about the people's choice, which makes it so much sweeter that the outrageous OAP took home the crown. Ever the gent, O'Carroll was quick to praise Afterlive saying it's "one of the best things I've ever seen", during his acceptance speech which brought a smile to Gervais face who was watching in the crowd.
